Ana Rusu A graduate of “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy of Cluj-Napoca, in the vocal music class of the well known teacher Edith Simon, Mrs. Ana RUSU is an exquisite appearance in the Romanian musical life, on the concert stages and also a prestigious vocal music teacher. Her remarkable talent, her ample voice with a noble timbre, her stylistic culture are qualities proven by the appearances of the mezzo-soprano Ana Rusu, a familiar presence in the vocal and symphonic concerts in the country and abroad (Hungary, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain). Refined musician, she played in her concerts and recitals a vast repertory, from the compositions of Baroque époque to the contemporary compositions, including first hearings. She also did record CDs and DVDs, radio and television recordings. As per the opera, her interpretations in Clemenza di Tito by Mozart or absolute first hearings in the operas La Passione di Gregorio and La Gloria di don Ramiro by Luis de los Cobos Almarez, in Cluj, were unanimously appreciated both by the public and by the specialized criticism. The name of Ana Rusu is frequently heard at festivals such as“Mozart”in Cluj, “Toamna Muzicala Clujeana”and“Constantin Silvestri”in Targu Mures. She is frequenty invited in jury at many competitions of singers. Interested since 1992 in teaching the young singers concomitant with her scenic activity, the artist also carries out an intense teaching activity, as lecturer at the Chair of Vocal Music of “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy and starting with 2006 she holds the title Doctor of Music. In present she is professor university at Academy of Music „ Gh . Dima” of Cluj-Napoca.
