Krina is a composer, arranger, educator and performer.<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>

She finished her bachelor\u2019s degree in Choral Conducting at the University of the Philippines, College of Music (2010). She received her Master of Music degree majoring in Musicology in June 2018, with the thesis: \u201cSession Musicians of the Golden Age of Filipino Popular Music: 1973-1987\u201d. Krina was an instructor at the New Era University College of Music where she taught Philippine Music and Fundamentals of Conducting (2011-2012). From 2012-2015, she was a faculty member of the University of the Philippines\u2019 Department of Art Studies at the College of Arts and Letters.<\/p>\n

Krina currently performs with and arranges for the female vocal trio, Baihana, whom she has participated with in both local and international shows and jazz festivals.<\/p>\n

As a composer and arranger, her works for Dulaang UP include Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabini (2014), #R\/3J<(2015), The Angry Christ (2017), Ang Bagong Kristo (2017) and The Kundiman Party (2018).<\/p>\n

Her other works for plays and musicals outside DUP include Teresa: Kahanga-hanga, Kataka-taka (2015), Macario Sakay (2017), Sinagtala (2017), Bintao (2018), Hanggang Isang Araw (Hope for the Flowers, 2019).<\/p>\n

She has also produced commissioned works: a jazz arrangement of Handel\u2019s Messiah performed by the UP Jazz Ensemble and the choral groups of UP (2014), new arrangements for choir, string quintet and piano of Nicanor Abelardo\u2019s kundimans (2015), the music design for Cebu\u2019s Kaplag celebration in 2015, the music design for UAAP 2015\u2019s opening ceremonies, transcriptions and rearrangements of early Filipino radio tunes in 2017, and Christmas lights music designs for Pasig City (2015-2017) and Nuvali (2016). She was the vocal coach for the DUP musicals Arturo Ui (2010) and Ang Nawalang Kapatid (2013), and Spotlight\u2019s Magsimula Ka (2010). She also composes music for company hymns and jingles, events, and has made arrangements for choirs.<\/p>\n

Krina teaches voice, music theory and children\u2019s music and movement class at The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab.
